There are two simple concepts to be learned:

Selecting the type of question that you wish to create:

• Select the type of new question that you want to add to your new or existing test.
  1. To enter a "MULTIPLE CHOICE" question, click the "MULTIPLE CHOICE" button.
  2. To enter a "TRUE / FALSE" question, click the "TRUE / FALSE" button.
• After you have entered your last question, click the "EXIT" button.

Methods for entering that type of question:

If you selected "TRUE/FALSE" QUESTION ENTRY SCREEN:

1. Enter (type, paste, insert, or import*) your first "TRUE / FALSE" question.
2. Click either the "TRUE" button or the "FALSE" button.
3. Click the "SAVE" button.
4. If you wish to enter this question's "REFERENCE" at this time:
   • click on the "REFERENCE INFORMATION" button,
   • enter (type, paste, insert, or import*) the "REFERENCE",
   • click on the "SAVE AND EXIT" button on the "INFO" screen and
   • you will be returned to the "Question Entry Screen" screen.
5. To enter more "TRUE/FALSE" questions, click on the "NEXT ?" button, then repeat steps #1 through #4D.
   * Note - Enter a test as a text document in a word processing program first (Example: by scanning). Open the text document and then press and hold the "Alt" button and press the "TAB" button. Select the Windows Program Manager and then open TestMaker. Thereafter you can toggle between the test and the text document by using the "ALT + TAB" combination.
6. The "DELETE QUESTION" button removes (A) the question, (B) the answers, (C) "Reference" and (D) renumbers the remaining questions.
7. After entering your last "TRUE/FALSE" question, click on the "SAVE AND EXIT" button, not the "NEXT ?" button (This will return you to the "QUESTION TYPE ?" screen. This screen allows you to choose what type of question you would like to enter next or to "EXIT").

If you selected "MULTIPLE CHOICE" QUESTION ENTRY SCREEN:

1. Enter (type, paste, insert, or import*) your first "MULTIPLE CHOICE" question.
2. Click "SAVE" button. (Not "SAVE AND EXIT", because you have more to do on this screen.)
3. If you make an error, click on the "DELETE QUESTION" button and start this question again.
4. If you wish to enter this question's "REFERENCE INFORMATION" at this time:
   • click on the "REFERENCE INFORMATION" button,
   • enter (type, paste, insert, or import*) the "REFERENCE INFORMATION",
   • click on the "SAVE AND EXIT" button on the screen and
   • you will be returned to the "Question Entry Screen" screen.
5. Click "MULTIPLE CHOICE" button (You will see the "MULTIPLE CHOICE" ANSWERS ENTRY SCREEN:):
   • Enter (type, paste, insert, or import) your first possible "MULTIPLE CHOICE" answer.
   • Click on "TRUE" button or "FALSE" button to mark the nature of this particular answer.
   • Click in the "SAVE" button (not the "SAVE AND EXIT" buttons).
   • Click on "NEXT " answer button.
   • Enter your next possible "MULTIPLE CHOICE" answer.
   • Click on "TRUE" button or "FALSE" button to mark the nature of this particular answer.
   • Click in the "SAVE" button (not the "SAVE AND EXIT" buttons).
   • Click on "NEXT" (answer) button.
   • Repeat E through H for all of your possible answers.
   • After entering your last "MULTIPLE CHOICE" answer, click either (1) the "SAVE" button and the "EXIT" button or (2) the "SAVE AND EXIT" button. (This will return you to the "QUESTION TYPE ?" screen. This screen allows you to choose what type of question you would like to enter next or to "EXIT").
