E-Commerce Resource Center of City of Fort Worth, Texas, said,

"...His (Bob Ballew's) latest homepage was for his new software - the Test-It Series®. This software allows you to create and give your own true/false and multiple choice tests and it automatically grades the test after you're finished. One striking feature is the royalty-free distribution of your tests with your name and advertising banner on them. Future versions are projected to include sound and video... (NOW INCLUDED!) The software is unique enough that a patent application is in process for this software..."

The City of Fort Worth, Texas' Business Assistance Center's "Newsletter" said,

"...Entrepreneur Bob Ballew expects the Test-It Series® to receive high marks as a software package that creates computer study guides and automated tests on a world of knowledge, ranging from workplace skills to reading, writing and 'rithmatic.
His company, Bob Ballew & Associates, L.L.C., developed the software package after Ballew searched in vain for an easy-to-use program that could test job applicants' knowledge in pre-employment screening. The program he created allows customers to create true-false and multiple choice tests as well as study guides and also administers the tests on personal computers, then grades them automatically.
Its best feature is ease of use, Ballew said. To prove It, he walked a volunteer through the process of building and taking a test, using only the instructional materials that come with the program. In less than 15 minutes, the new user had (1) learned all of the software's features and (2) taken another sample test created by a Wall Street Journal staffer in New York City.
"This software is designed for people who don't like computers," Ballew said. "This program will be used by many people with different levels of computer literacy, so a complex program would defeats its purpose. What we've created is a package that is so easy to use the only computer skills required are the ability to type and to point and click with a mouse."
Beta testers enthusiastically agree. Whitney Worda, senior technical trainer for OCE'-USA, makers of high-volume industrial and commercial copiers, blueprinters and networked copiers, has been testing The Test-It Series® itself in classes for company technicians.
"I had looked at about 25 related programs, many of which were simply not user-friendly," Worda said. Test-lt® is straight-forward. I don't have to go through a long explanation for the students to be able to work through it."
As a computer-based testing program, The Test-It Series® has an added benefit for Worda, whose company training programs seek "to move our people into the digital world" that is driving OCE's product lines. More than 70 percent of the staffers he trains are "not fully comfortable" with personal computer technology, and this software is a step toward gaining confidence at the keyboard.
In addition to its institutional and corporate applications, The Test-It Series® has unlimited potential as a study and test preparation program for students in all subjects. Ballew envisions the program as another tool in preparing for such tests as the written drivers license exam, Scholastic Aptitude Test or as an aid in classroom studies and tutoring. Users progress at their own speed and questions can be modified as needed for certain students.
Teachers can place their creations in a computer lab at school and instruct their students to take the "pop-quizzes" at their supervised convenience. The tests score themselves and provide a printed results summary. Less homework for the teacher!
Employer's may use his software to write customized test to certify knowledge of policies and procedures and verify specific job knowledge prior to initial hiring or promotions and to assure compliance with affirmative action requirements or other Government contracting requirements.
Employers and individuals alike will have unprecedented freedom to share or sell the test they create, since Ballew's company plans to charge no royalty fees for test created and distributed legally through the software's Share-lt® module. An advertising banner can be changed to advertise the user instead of Ballew' company. "This is about developing knowledge and jobs," Ballew said, "lf a tutor creates a series of tests for his students, the students will expect the same from the next tutor. The tutor gets paid, the student hopefully learns more. And guess what, the tutor has that same test to deliver to all future students."
Ballew, a retired Certified Purchasing Manager, licenses the software for about $300.00 per package, and would like to see others harness it to develop entrepreneurial muscle for themselves and others.
The Test-It Series® ... can be ordered by calling (817) 244-3647 or (817) 929-8758. Ballew's creation also has a site on the World Wide Web, designed with the help of John Graham at the BAC's Electronic Commerce Resource Center. Click Here to visit the website.

After using another test engine on cram4exams.com for the first six months of our existence, we were getting a lot of complaints about GPF errors and bad English in the application itself.
In an extensive search for a new engine I found the Test-It Series® software at www.testmaker.com.
From my first phone conversation with Bob I knew I found a keeper. Bob has taken the time to call me if I had questions and is just an all around nice guy. I highly recommend the Test-It Series® for the ease of use and distribution and support offered by Bob. It is nice to deal with someone who cares about their customers. Thank you Bob!

    Bob:

Just a quick note to let you know where I am with regards to my success with the Test-It software.
For several months last year I did a significant amount of research with regards to test making software. As a result of my investigation I settled on purchasing your software. Boy, am I glad I did!
I am having one major problem and that is finding the time to make more CD's.
As you know, I am currently the top certified Building Official in the State of Louisiana. I provide Code consulting and teach numerous seminars each year in the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas area.
In trying to improve my sales with seminars, I found through other companies that put on seminars that you always needed something to sell your audience while giving the seminar. Up until I got your software, I did not do it. Here is an example of my success.
A couple of weeks ago I taught a two (2) day seminar in Lafayette, Louisiana for a State Code Enforcement organization's annual convention. The purpose of my seminar was to help prepare code inspectors to become certified. There is a certification test given 4 times a year and it is very hard to pass. I didn't have time to put together a study CD for this seminar, so I thought just for grins, I would try to presell the CD's. This would be the first time I have ever tried this approach. It worked!
Out of 50 attendees at the seminar, over 50% bought pre-released study CD's. What I did was made up about 6 sample questions with the Test-It Software and put it on my laptop. I was already using a projector for a powerpoint presentation, so I just put the Test-It sample up on the screen and showed the example questions and how easy and user friendly the software was. Boy, how easy to increase my sales.
Based on this and my other past experiences, I am shifting my sales concentration and am leaning more to selling study CD's using the Test-It Software.
It has really been a pleasure working with you due to the fact you have always bent over backwards in helping with any problems I may have. Of course there has only been once or twice since the software is so easy to use and your documentation was very thorough.
In fact I remember when I first bought the software and was so anxious to get started you took the time to actually send the software to me via e-mail. That is what I call service.
I want to thank you for all your help and look forward to a continued working relation with the Test-It software.
            Again Thanks,
